We knew it was coming sooner or later. One of my musical heroes. Spent the day getting emotional listening to pet sounds, smile, and various other Brian hits. Also listened to Thats Why God Made The Radio which I think is pretty underrated. I wish his final album “at my piano” had vocals on it. instead of being the final time you could hear elderly brian actually performing those songs it’s just some nothing-ass piano noodles. But he had more good stuff in his later years than he had any right to. “Lucky Old Sun” is a great record, and “No Pier Pressure” has some good tunes too even though it’s kind of a mess with all the dumb collaborations.
