Radio is sounding better in retrospect. It’s nice the guys got together and the songs are pretty good. The vocals and strong and there is some enthusiasm for the material. I’m grateful they had the chance to reunite one last time and make an album with with some good melodies and harmonies when Brian was still in good health and spirits.

I scoured every Beach Boys outtake I ever could for years and heard a ton of stuff but I still appreciate any kind of official release of this stuff. There is tons of great stuff from the late 70s that they could release. Most of Adult Child is good and definitely worth hearing.

I regret not seeing Brian when I could have any time in the last 20 years too. I could have caught the Smile show and didn’t. I just always felt that Brian’s show is more fan service and I was a little obsessive about the prime 60s and 70s Beach Boys stuff. I was never fully enamored with the 2004 Smile, but in retrospect I am looking forward to revisiting it now with a different perspective.
