I saw this live video recently, he sounds more or less like he does on his later albums:

He hits the notes so consistently I almost wonder if he’s getting some digital assistance, the way they sometimes do now, though it doesn’t sound like it.

I saw him a couple of years ago and he was sounding decent there as well. Before that it was around 2010 and he sounded okay on the first song and grunted his way through most of the set.

Last time he came around he was back to touring Rough And Rowdy Ways so didn’t bother as it’s the same setlist I’d already seen. I’d probably check him out if he took this Outlaw tour over here because he picks interesting tracks for it. Seeing Willie would be cool as well.

Frankie Vallie live is a joke at this point. There are videos of him like a corpse in a suit, just barely standing and staring off into space while his voice belts out off the backing tape.
