Really though… you mean to tell me the TikTok generation is interested in late 90s rap metal?!??

Oh, they’re into everything turn-of-the-millennium. I don’t think t-shirts go halfway down your thighs anymore but baggy pants are definitely in style, at least girls in and below their early/mid 20s. I don’t know about music but a year or two ago I read about a nu-metal revival.

I think these things work in 20-30-year cycles. In the late ’80s the 20th anniversary of ’60s landmarks (damn, they really were that long ago) loomed large and in 1987 the Beatles’ albums were released on CD for the furst time abd they had a moment. In the ’90s, organic instruments and long, 1970s-style hair made a comeback. Et cetera.

I don’t feel 40.
