Man, I 100% support universal healthcare but it’s so important that it’s well-funded and managed. From what I hear, it’s pretty common for conservative parties to try and take an axe to the public healthcare system, which can only lead to service getting worse “proving” their point that public healthcare doesn’t work. There probably also need to be incentives to hire/graduate enough doctors in each specialty.

11 months sounds rough to see a specialist, but at the end of the day if that means that there are truly just that many people who need to see a specialist, that that few specialists available, and the line is ordered in such a way that the people who need to see the specialist soonest are prioritized by their place in line, then so be it- that’s just fair.
