Go to the doctor.

Seriously, just go. Try not to sweat it without knowing what it is. I had something kind of like that (vertigo, where it felt like the room was slowly spinning) and it turned out to be mucus in my inner ear. All I had to do was take some pills to dry it out. I had it checked out right away, so I don’t know if it would even persist that long on its own.

My impression has been that people who didn’t live through nu metal don’t know what it is even if they know about other old rock, although I assume that there are alot of kids who know it because its the music their parents grew up with and still listen to. I don’t hear it in movies/commercial/sporting events. In the ’90s everyone made fun of hair metal for being cringy and so much more dated than the ’70s hard rock that preceded it, but at this point it’s lasted more than nu metal has.
