I don’t think The Stand would take you very long to read, no. It’s your choice whether you want to read the 1978 original or the unabridged version from 1990, which also updated the setting to 1990.

Not to knock reading forbidden fruit but I’ve always heard Rage was really badly written. What do you do to get a copy now, just read it online somewhere?

I haven’t read any of the short story collections but I looked up spoilers for “The Jaunt” from Skeleton Crew after seeing it described as King’s nastiest short story in a Reddit thread. Probably should read the whole thing someday. If you don’t know what the ending of The Mist movie is, King said the movie’s ending was better.

Eye Of The Dragon - I think this one’s appeal today has mostly to do with people who just like Randall Flagg/Walter Padick, King’s seemingly unkillable recurring villain character. I’m sure you already know who he is, so I’ll move on.

One amusing thing I found out about Pet Sematary, which I will try to read before the end of this year, is that it’s said to have the most iconic book cover of any King book, as well as the worst:

(If I’ve done that wrong, use these instead)
