Right, the laws Landis broke were precisely that, child labor laws. But everyone says that when they filmed the scene it was Landis yelling “LOWER LOWER LOWER!!!!” that was the real cause of the disaster. It’s always Landis who’s looked the worst.

There hasn’t been much attempt to “rehabilitate” Fetchit, with the best people having to say about him is something along the lines of “well, at least he proved a black man could still make a lot of money back then!!!” or some other such silliness and it’s just like no.

Oh, I forgot Stalker was based on a book. I should try to find the book and read it sometime.

In addition to the 2006 books I’m going to anniversary-re-read this summer, I’m going to try to find time to read some other Stephen King stuff–I’d like to read Pet Sematary, The Tommyknockers, Misery and possibly The Green Mile.
