The Star Trek ones with problematic episodes are the worst. Trekkies are insufferable douchebags in general and they love nothing more than judging people from the perspective of a fictional, impossible socialist utopia.

For instance – this is the kind of people they are – I bristle at “they” as a singular personal pronoun. While the singular “they” as an indefinite pronoun goes back a millennium, its use for a known, concrete person is an innovation, and an unnatural one, imposed from above by the media and the elites.. Language change is fine and constant, but it should work its way from the bottom up. “Everyone took out their pencil” sounds natural and “Taylor took out their pencil” sounds unnatural for this reason. They’re two totally different pronouns.

People who call you stupid or stuck-in-the-mud for objecting to it, noting that the singular “they” goes back many centuries, don’t grasp this difference, either out of ideological blindness or sincere inappreciation of nuance, and tend to be very smug about being “smarter” than us Neanderthals, even though they’re wrong. That’s the kind of people Trekkies are. Smug, superior Comic Book Guys – when I was watching through TNG I would keep up reading episode reviews and it was truly a sight to see how absolutely apoplectic enraged they got at “The Perfect Mate” or “Profit and Lace”, not to mention neing incensed because Beverly Crusher was the wrong sexual orientation in that Trill episode.

What good things have such deplorable fans? AEW has a lot of smelly neckbeards and wrestling fans in general are the worst people of any fan base.
