and on the marquee over the State Theatre doqntown is advertised the Dave Matthews Tribute Band.
When I was working at a pavilion summer concert venue in high school DMB came through. I guess you could say that they’re inoffensive and give you a good groove in the background to keep you alert under your earplugs. The only concert that made working there worth it was Rush. That was a hell of a show, and I’m not really a Rush fan. Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire and RHCP were fun. Ozzfest had the best music but it attracts the absolute scum of the earth.
The other good thing about DMB is that their main melody instruments are violin and saxophone in at leaat an interesting alternative to guitar rock. I think it waa the winds guy? who died. His ATV flipped, which is one of the most dudebro ways to go imaginable. They’re native to UVA and before hhe Nazis they were the only tging Charlottesville was known for. They were really popular in suburban VA when I was in middle and high school.
