Again, I just got to the part with the ansible when I read this post. Heh!!! I hadn’t forgotten the ansible from The Left Hand Of Darkness, though I’ve already forgotten a lot of place names. I will try to read The Day Before The Revolution if a copy is available to me!
The first cover of Carrie is pretty lame:

I don’t know why “Carrie” is wearing a kimono, or is obviously a model much more beautiful than the chunky girl King describes in the book, with acne all over her (all movie versions, as you know, have had whippet-thin actresses playing her.)

The 1988 tie-in version to the flop stage musical (which closed after like five performances) is pretty hilariously bad:

This is the one I first recall seeing, which would probably have been in grade school or so, and I can’t decide if it’s stupid or effectively creepy.
Here’s the copy I actually have, which was part of a series of all King’s books up until that point (mid-to-late 90s). The one for which this style of cover worked best was Four Past Midnight…
