The song was a pretty basic riff rocker in the first place. What did Mark do, pad it out with a 4 minute guitar solo?
Just finished reading Pudd’nhead Wilson and....whoah. Talk about books that could never get published today. It’s one of Twain’s better works but I can easily understand why it’s so overlooked and not recommended to kids, and not just because it’s a slim novella. It’s another socially angry satire of the institution of slavery but while the only modern objection to Huck Finn was Huck’s liberal use of that word, this opens up a whole new kettle of worms. It’s about a white and mixed race baby (the slave owner knocks up his light skinned slave) that are indistinguishable at birth and switched in the cradle so that their roles in life are reversed, and you can sort out how the book goes from there.

I would have assumed that's the version best known to people under 50 who don't remember it as a contemporary MTV hit -
