That’s not a sarcastic or rhetorical question. Shaman, the album Santana released after Supernatural, hit #1 and sold reasonably well. It was a success by the standards of everything else he’s done in his entire career. But anything he did that was marketed as a followup to Supernatural would probably have automatically done at least as well. And he didn’t even sustain the success and exposure that Shaman had.
