I’ve seen people insist that it only takes 10 minutes to recharge in Metroid if you know what you’re doing, but it always took me longer than that. That is the part of the game I truly don’t like. There should be recharge stations by the elevators. I’d swap that for a requirement that you need to get back to the elevators to get a password. Unlike the other games, you can die any time in the first game and keep the stuff you found.

He’s honestly pretty bad at the first two games. Some of the clips from that video made me wonder if he’d walked back on his claim that he doesn’t play badly on purpose for his videos anymore. For example, Ridley is stupidly easy. I beat him the first time with no tricks and taking almost no damage. And on Mother Brain he didn’t seem to know to freeze the “flaming donuts” or whatever he called them.

The Spider Ball is a little tricky, but not as hard as he made it seem.

Metroid 2 is honestly easy to navigate. I’ve played through it twice and only missed one or two items each time. Just Spiderball along all the walls and you’re guaranteed to find everything.

Outlaw looks like this

But maybe there’s a Bronco Billy game where you throw knives at Sondra Locke, I’ll check later.
