I’ve seen parts of The Rookie but have no desire to watch the whole thing. Clint made a number of semi-flops and forgotten movies after 1990 that I’m pretty much just going to skip. Absolute Power? True Crime? White Hunter, Black Heart? Blood Work? Am I missing anything by skipping these? Probably not.

Night Moves is a film I eventually came around on finding to be somewhat entertaining but I also think it’s a lot more dated than The Long Goodbye or Chinatown. And it doesn’t earn its nihilistic ending the way those two movies do nearly as well. I guess it has decent cinematography. Inchon looked like shit and was a worthless boring movie, $50 million of Moonie money spent on loads of explosions. ZZZZZZZZZ. Some infamous big budget flops are interesting to watch but not that one.

Presence - I feel that “Tea For One” simply retreads “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” but to each his own. Do you like “For Your Life”?

I did not remember Carlito’s Way referencing Serpico, De Palma referencing Lumet is sort of cool though. I think it’s a better movie than Scarface though.

I did not remember the Zappa reference in a corporate MTV Aerosmith album track.

Might need to see Coogan’s Bluff.

I have a strong feeling that if First Rays Of The New Rising Sun had come out while he was alive it wouldn’t have that track listing, it’d probably be about 40-50 minutes long, but don’t ask me to back that up. I mean I guess he’d just done one double album so he probably wouldn’t do another so soon? What is he, Chicago? I guess it probably would have been called The Cry Of Love too, not the title it did get.
