I love Starship Troopers but it seems to have gone from being misunderstood by most people to becoming more popular than Robocop and Total Recall for reasons that I think put it somewhat below those movies (keep in mind that I think all three are great movies). If you take all three movies superficially than Starship Troopers is the “dumbest,” so the satire plays closest to the surface.

Speaking of dumb science fiction, is that tweet proposing that we crash a giantass astroid into the Earth or something?

One reason I was disappointed when Electric Dreams only got one season was that the original project was supposed to be to film every Philip K. Dick short story, and I was interested to see how they approached the task of making hour long episodes out of stories that people were already familiar with as blockbuster movies.

I have a bunch of Spielberg to catch up on, but the existence of Ready Player One shakes my resolve to watch all of his movies. The book is one of those things that was supposedly massively popular, but the vast majority of opinions I’ve read of it are from people who loathed it.
