the RP1 book is more of an 80s nostalgia trip whereas the movie makes the references a bit more modern. Both are terrible. But they are the kind of terrible that is nonetheless still amusing, so you might still get a kick out of them in spite of (or perhaps because of) their badness. Better than being boring.
