I should have said “overrated” instead of “overstated.” Yes, I too laughed at 29 year old actors playing “teenagers” with names like “Johnny Rico” but the whole “subversive message” thing was discussed even back then (I remember!) and I’m not really convinced that it’s all that clever of an idea.

I had to read a Young Adult novel recently, called Turtles All The Way Down. I thought it was pretty sloppy and if that’s the creme de la creme of YA then let me tell you Joe I will NOT be reading many more YA novels I simply WON’T.
