Born In The USA is not my vibe. I heard The Rising from his later albums and it was OK, but ehn * shrugs shoulders *. As far as the Springsteen overproduction style is concerned I like Bat Out Of Hell more than any actual Springsteen album. A shame that was never followed up on decently, cus most other Meatloaf albums are variations of suck.

For all the grief I do give george, I can’t deny how much he shaped my music taste as a youngster. There is no other music critic who influenced me more than George did. For that I will aways be grateful. But I just want the guy to not be so damn bitter all the time. If you’re a music lover you dont need to be so cynical about everything. Following new music should be FUN. His current site is excruciatingly boring, mostly focusing on snore-worthy artists from the 50s and 60s. But if thats what brings him joy then so be it I guess.

Regine isn’t a good singer either, I have no strong opinion on her, she only sings like two songs per album. but Phish are my favourite band so I’m not going to pretend that good singing is a necessity for good music lol. (would George have hated phish? I kinda imagine he would have. how dare a band not put an emphasis on studio albums lol.)
