Was Ugly Kid Joe even popular? I feel like I only know who they were because my friend, whose name was also “Joe,” had an “Ugly Kid Joe” patch on his jacket. I think he didn’t even originally know it was a band and just found it somewhere and thought it was funny, and after wearing it for years he finally heard them and thought they sucked. Maybe he always knew who they were and thought they sucked and just didn’t care that it was really a band? I dunno, it was 30 years ago at this point.

The only place I remember hearing them was their shitty version of NIB on a Black Sabbath tribute album.
