Ulbricht

Ross Ulbricht was not a drug dealer

Yeah, I didn’t feel like pre-empting this dried shit.

“ULBRICHT, 30, of San Francisco, California, was found guilty of: one count of distributing narcotics, one count of distributing narcotics by means of the Internet, and one count of conspiring to distribute narcotics”

Since you’re the expert here, you probably know he personally chatted with an undercover Fed posing as a cocaine wholesaler to set him up with a buyer (who would in turn sell to users), discussed transportation issues with the blow and received a fee for his trouble.

For somebody who thinks illegal entry must be met with deportation, it shouldn’t be a challenge to understand conspiring to distribute narcotics makes you a fucking drug dealer (Which he would be even if conspiracy was his only conviction).

Starting on or about December 17, 2012, through on or about January 10, 2013, the UC and the Vendor communicated via the Internet to negotiate the sale ofone kilogram of cocaine. Payment was to be made via Silk Road, insuring that ROSS WILLIAM ULBRICHT, a/k/a “Dread Pirate Roberts,” a/k/a “DPR,” would collect a fee for the transaction. The Vendor provided the UC with an address to which to ship the cocaine, an address which federal agents later determined was the residence of the Employee.

And yes, this ended with the transaction going as expected.

P.S. To spare myself another typical talking point, I’m not interested in his alleged commission of murder-for-hire or that it was cited as a factor in his sentencing.
