The new 2025 9CD boxset release of John Lennon's Sometimes In New York cancelled one of his songs

They removed Woman Is the N*** of the World from the album, as well as from both the afternoon and evening concerts on 30 August 1972. The box set includes demo recordings from those sessions but makes no reference to the song ever existing.

It would have been interesting to have the complete concert from Live in New York City—which itself was compiled from the afternoon and evening shows on 30 August 1972—but the box set acts as though the song was never performed live, so what you get is an almost complete concert.

To be a true completionist, you’d need to include Woman Is the N*** of the World from three sources: the original studio album, the Live in New York City CD (which features the afternoon show), and the 4CD Anthology box set (which contains the evening show performance).

Someone really should edit the song back into the live concert. Simply adding it to a playlist in the correct setlist order causes an unnatural skip from one track to another.
