Didn’t Nick Einhorn really like Bling Ring? I personally have no idea why a grown man would waste their time with obnoxious shit like this but thats just my opinion. I understand why YOU saw it, im sure you saw all her other movies already.

Self Portrait is hilarious. Definitely a half assed album and it must have really seemed confusing at the time but it is a fun grab bag of all different random shit. Live stuff, random studio outtakes, covers, weird experiments like “Tired Horses” with the strings. Wigwam is a beautiful little tune. I am somewhat of an advocate for the album. Its clear Bob didnt give a fuck and released a bunch of random shit just because he could. It’s fun and it’s nowhere near as bad as that famous review said it was.

I have been realizing that all the stuff I read on babble in almost 25 years really stuck with me in some way or another. Similar to the post exchange below I have also been wanting to check out either older stuff that the guys here talked about all the time or then-new stuff in the 00s. I personally really like Fiery Furnaces and the twee indie shit that permeated the decade. There’s also a bunch of prog and jazz fusion and whatnot that people find incredibly boring now that I have been enjoying. Think I would be in the mood for some Italian prog or some weirder obscure shit like that at this point.
