There’s no real reason to rewatch the Dalton movies if you weren’t fond of them the first time. Culturally interesting stuff about them:
-In The Living Daylights Bond teams up with the Afghan rebels, and the movie does depict them as selling heroin to finance their war against the Soviets.
-Drugs again! In License to Kill the bad guys are Latin American drug dealers, which is unusual for a Bond movie but very ’80s.
The two movies are pretty different. The Living Daylights is a pretty traditional Bond movie, with some updating. It’s the first time Bond got younger. License to Kill shoots for a more serious tone.
I haven’t seen them in forever. In the past I liked The Living Daylights but not License to Kill.
