What's spinning?

Buzzcocks - In a Different Kitchen: Decent record. It has two of my least favorite songs from Singles Going Steady: I Don’t Mind and Autonomy. But not bad.

Buzzcocks - Kind of Tension - Also half decent punk rock record. But none of these songs hold up to the standard of Singles Going Steady.

Can - Tago-Mago: The first half is weird and interesting. The second half is long and boring.

The Go-Betweens: 16 Lovers Lane: Listening to it right now. Melodic and good, but probably not going to become one of my favorite records. Or maybe it will. I do like this.

Motorhead - Overkill: Decent. But I like Bomber and The Ace of Spades more.

Roxy Music - s/t: I have tried to like this band for years. Frankly, I do not care for their music. This album is weird and boring.

Rush - Moving Pictures: Great album from start to finish. Impressive for a band whose albums I do not normally like. I normally just like their greatest hits.

The Velvet Underground - s/t.: Brilliant from start to finish. Mostly ballads, but two good rockers. Murder Mystery is my favorite song on the album. Most fans hate that song. Go figure. I can’t stand White Light/White Heat, BTW.

Wire - Pink Flag: THIS. ALBUM. RULES. I am so glad I re-bought it. Straight Line is one of the best short songs ever. It is so effective in so little time.
