Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks: lol my relationship just fell apart and it felt appropriate. I was never crazy about “Simple Twist of Fate” but after he put out those Sinatra albums it makes more sense, he was trying to write a standard! He even sings it like a crooner towards the end. Maybe I’ve posted about that before.
Friends of the Road - Live: Haven’t heard the whole thing but I saw the end of their set the other night and thought they were great, a kind of drone-folk band, doing long, repetitive renditions of songs from the Harry Smith Anthology.
Pavement - Wowee Zowee
Death Grips - The Money Store
Horsegirl - Phonetics On and On: liked it on first listen
The Dandy Warhols - Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia: i only ever listen to half this album but that opening trio is great even if I’m embarrassed to get enjoyment out of this band.
