I know a huge complaint (whether it was from actual Indians or pissy white PC liberal types, I don’t really know) was supposed to be Kevin leading Indians into battle at all, the usual sort of white savior talk. My mom used to mention this. But I didn’t know Kevin got praised for having them speak Lakota.

If it’s about “balancing” good Indians and bad Indians then I hope these people are all long dead before that Blood Meridian movie gets made (though it does have some good Indians in it.)

I didn’t know that was why Hugues left the board, though to be fair, I didn’t care for him at all, I can’t ever remember having a happy conversation with Hugues. Spermin’ Herman on the other hand I had a couple enjoyable repartees with.

Looking back, I can’t say that I actually ever hated Kevin Costner, though I’m straining to think of anything he was in that I really liked. Did a cult ever form around Waterworld? Not that I can tell. The Moria guy gave The Postman a good review and said that it has been unfairly mocked over the years, but I don’t think you can really trust that guy–he gave Saw five stars too. So I probably won’t watch The Postman.
