One other thing

I didn’t find Tommy’s Axl memories as fascinating as the bit where Paul Westerberg was supposedly in the same hotel with Kurt Cobain and they stayed away from each other, with Paul allegedly taking snipes at Kurt in the lyrics of one of his songs on his solo albums.

I should add that I only like one Motley Crue song (“Kickstart My Heart”) which makes me more qualified to read the Crue book than the Germs book, since I like no Germs songs.

The image of the ‘Mats getting drunk with Harry Dean Stanton is a pretty cute one too.

My whole impetus for reading the book in the first place was Prindle reviewed it on FB and said that it made the Replacements out to be “the WORST” people you could possibly hope to work with. And it’s almost true. They just plain deliberately blew it over and over again because of their shit behavior.

I know how Tommy Stinson has stayed afloat but I have no idea how Chris Mars’ painting career is sustaining him these days.
