The R.E.M. rivalry and Paul’s jealous bitterness over their success was interesting, and I wanted to hear Stipe & company’s take on it. I guess that’ll wait till the R.E.M. bio. Probably -

Buck and Westerberg sounded like they had a fun bromance for a while, too, running around Minneapolis getting drunk and slapping pancake makeup on. Buck’s solo in I Will Dare was only in there because Bob couldn’t handle playing folk rock, right?
