I’d be interested in hearing your opinion of The Vanishing, to see if you got more out of it than I did. The Wild One you can honestly skip. Are you a Brando fan?

I thought Oh Mercy was a hit comeback? That it got good reviews, that 1989 was the big year of the aging 60s heroes’ comebacks/reunions/catalogues being issued on CD? Just because of Daniel Lanois? What about Under The Red Sky? I thought Down In The Groove was the one that was hated from around that time.

That very first track on Self Portrait, it just repeats that one line over and over but since I’m listening as background music my mind thinks of it as “catchy.”

I’ll go ahead and try Valleys Of Neptune but I dunno about Blues. I am certainly going to hear live Jimi at Monterey, Woodstock and Isle of Wight–I was trying to finish the studio stuff first, but there’s a lot more studio stuff than I thought!
