I remember “Oh Mercy” being a return to form album for Dylan, at least at that time. Or that’s how George described it at least. One of those albums that are better than what came before but still not as good as it could be. Maybe that’s what the other guys felt about it, similar to Flowers In The Dirt by McCartney or Steel Wheels by the Stones.
I’d like to check out some of Dylans more later stuff. I was even curious to hear some of his embarrassing low point albums. There is Knocked Out Loaded which has Brownsville Girl. One song that everyone seems to like on really crappy album.
