The public by and large ignored the fifth season of Arrested Development. The cast is not speaking to each other much anymore, in part because of the fifth season being ignored, but because Jeffrey Tambor was apparently a jerk to Jessica Walter and most of the male cast members sided with Tambor; there was a very awkward cast interview a few years ago where this got brought to light. And of course Jessica Walter is now dead. Also, it is now commonplace to bash the fourth season as being a disaster, which is one of the biggest “bloom fell off the rose” public opinions I know of, right next to Beck’s Sea Change and the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies.

Chappelle’s Show was hit or miss then and it’s hit or miss now. Its slapdash nature was what I found kind of amusing about it, though. Chappelle’s ethic towards his own work made Mike Judge look anal by comparison–he NEVER seemed like he was “trying really hard.”

BCS is going to go down as being split between people who think BCS was better before it started veering closer and closer to Breaking Bad territory, and people who liked it more the closer it got to BrBa. I personally am in the latter–I thought the final season was really strong and the best season overall. But, feel free to dsiagree.
