1989 is probably her best album to date, but it is kinda funny that a great album opens up with it’s weakest song. Blank Space is def among her best hits. Godly pop hook.
Speak Now I actually like the Taylors Version significantly better than the original. I agree that Red feels more cohesive with Taylor’s Version though, and by far the best vault tracks. some of her best songs are among those bonuses. The Taylor’s Version of 1989 is by far the worst one. She could not recapture the production style and it sucks the life out of half the album. I was really worried the TV of Reputation was going to be a trainwreck for the same reason, so I’m kinda glad that got canceled. Curious to hear what you think of that record, a lot of people go as far as to call it her worst album, but it ended up being one of my favorites and I think it’s pretty underrated now.
Taylor just announced her new album, and it looks to be trying to outdo 1989 in the pop department since Max Martin is producing which is great news since her continuing reliance on Jack Antinoff and Aaron Dessner was starting to get old.
