I mean, I’d listen to it of course, but I have no idea how many XTC fans there even are left. You tell me–maybe there are lots, I wouldn’t know. But I thought XTC only had much commercial success for a brief window in the late 70s in the UK and as US “college rock” heroes after “Dear God” came out.
Would it be more successful than the Pixies reunion has been? They’ve put out five new albums since “reforming” and I guess the biggest impetus for doing that was that nobody had given a shit about Frank Black solo albums for a really long time. How much money have they really made?
