Yeah like Norville said, commercial success like they had in the 70s and 80s is not on the table. But a modestly sucessful reunion effort could go pretty far. They’d be far from the first to release an album decades after the last. If it’s actually good then it would end up on all the critics lists and that will keep the album being talked about for a while. Andy stands to make far more money from this than he has on XTC’s old music which he infamously made almost no money whatsoever on for years because of bad deals signed with the record label.
Pixies make money touring. Andy won’t tour, but at least he could do a Tiny Desk or something.
