I agree that Merchant of Venice is anti-semitic

but I thought that in a perverse way that made it greater? Like that “if you prick me do I not bleed” at least means that Shylock isn’t just a cartoon character etc.? I feel slimy even writing the previous sentence, like I just slipped back into a really bad college course. (The one I took was good, and assigned As You Like It, Troilus & Cressida, King Lear, Merchant Of Venice and both _Henry IV_s.)
