The second song has been used in movies, I’d never heard the first. (Hey, “and we danced” is the chorus of Game Theory’s “Mammoth Gardens”!) Neither song is particularly good but I’ve heard worse from that genre. Hell, the second song sounded like the Plimsouls for about ten seconds–who’s to say that hip 1983 underground college-rock was all that different from unhip critically reviled 1983 corporate bullshit shit?
