Nothing really beats the original demos for me overall. Its cool that Paul, Ringo and especially George before he died contributed to a whole band version way back 30 years ago but something about those original John demos are just a perfect sound of intimate melodic lo fi goodness that I go back to them from time to time. Maybe theres extra sadness to them because of John’s death but they’re eerie beautiful recordings and I don’t think they needed anything added to them whatsoever. Of course im sure someone is trying to clean them up with AI as we speak…
