The guy in the meme is right. AI is supposed to (ideally) make life simple, a life of leisure to avoid the toil and the effort of having to think and do things for yourself. But even this ideal is a nightmare – doing hard things makes you strong. If you don’t exercise your soul, what good is life? As anyone who’s been kicked around in life can tell you, a life of abundance and leisure makes you weak, imbecilic, and immoral – compare those Millennial college kids with their safe spaces and violence of words to the Millennial young men who pulled themselves together and went out in the world. The AI utopia Elon Musk et al promise would lead to the downfall of humanity – if it doesn’t actually render Man evolutionarily unfit, life wouldn’t be worth living. Embrace struggle and adversity.
