Surprised by this one, Robert Munsch is iconic. Was he only known in Canada? I dont really know.
His books were staples of my childhood, and my nephews read them now. Most of his books are funny and entertaining with good lessons for kids. except for “love you forever” which is one of the most tear-jerking odes to the love of a parent for their child every created. It’s one of my mom’s favourite books. My mom will however also be upset that he’s choosing assisted dying cus she is very opposed to it.
