There was one minor innovation in this entry that they haven’t done much with before, which is creepy sound effects. Oooh, Slenderman is near when they hear creepy metallic scraping feet nearby! Rats in the walls, bruh! And a weird wind noise when Alex briefly points the camera out in the courtyard! Then they didn’t do much with it. I mean, you guys have already been in the damn tunnel.

Seeing all that weird inside-joke graffiti all over the place made me think of Prindle’s review where he said that “graffiti = urine” and said that all those people writing “CASH” and “SNOTY” everywhere were just like one dog pissing higher up on a tree than another dog. Who will even know who the fuck all that graffiti means?

That part after the “attack” where they were sitting in that room and joking about how people would think the footage was fake was the second lamest acting moment in all of MH, right after Alex and Jay fighting in the parking lot back in the original series.

Their acting has only gotten a little better. That bit with Jay nonchalantly telling the camera that they’ve been in there 10 days seemed mostly to remind us that Troy has big creepy girly eyeballs.
