Yeah like I said it was in the 1997 summary post, but you have to go back four pages to find it, it’s from two months ago. I have no idea what anyone would like about “How Do I Live,” it’s such a fucking generic song it slays me.

I SHOULD have done the 80s and it’ll be interesting to see if I can even try recent years–I don’t even often pick up on pop music nowadays, I think my entire guess as to who’s a big deal comes from (this is very outdated to say) seeing who’s on the cover of Rolling Stone when I walk past grocery store magazine racks.

And yeah, this little experiment has only yielded two songs I feel like revisiting–Amy Grant’s “Baby Baby” (which I like because of a combination of it being overproduced and overarranged, and because it’s based on the exact same melody as Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place,” which was my most-listened to song in 2006) and Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” (a weird choice–I never liked her AT ALL before!)
