Every PTA movie after There Will Be Blood has had this sort of grace period where it goes from being the big Best Picture contender and getting terrific advance word of mouth and early reviews to being sort of forgotten by awards season. I feel like I can set my watch to it at this point.

I don’t want to have to reread Vineland first, because I never got into that book much, but I might.
