I remember Heaven’s Gate when it happened and it was well covered–I’m talking about kids today knowing about it. I mean, if they don’t know about the OKC bombing, then, well, that was bigger than HG. The website was certainly infamous, and not just because it’s popped up online again and again over the years, sort of a running joke the way that the website advertising Space Jam from 1996 or so is still up.

I didn’t know it was the biggest mass suicide in US History.
