I was surprised that someone I talked to c21 years old didn’t know about Heaven’s Gate.

TBH, I don’t specifically remember Ruby Ridge as a contemporary news story. I probably heard about it at the time but I don’t actually have memories of seeing it on the news or talking about it when it happened. But I remember the Oklahoma City bombing as one of the huge news stories of the ’90s.
