and we’re getting another Pynchon book soon, though I bizarrely didn’t recall many people talking much about Bleeding Edge (is there something I missed? It was a decent book!)

Anyway, the new PTA/DiCaprio movie is “loosely based” on Vineland, a book that I thought was one of Pynchon’s weaker ones, though I could stand to re-read it (hell, I’ll probably have to re-read ALL of Pynchon one of these days.) But “loosely based,” yeah–I don’t recall any of those character names matching up with Pynchon’s.
