What do you think of this issue in your backyard?

The white supremacists are being obtuse. You work the Confederate flag into your public face and you’ll keep away anyone who would self-exclude. A court case is unnecessary as the other solution should have been used in the first place.

I’m feeling grim about the future. The new order has been thrust on us, the people to entrench itself over a budget cycle or two to work its way into the bureaucracy. We can’t meaningfully resist it until 2026, so it’s almost like, why not realize that you have the sociopolitical system you have and not the one you want, not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good, and good old-fashioned incrementalism the other way? Why not accept the system as-is and try to do regular governing stuff without trying to overturn the whole order away from how it is now?
