Those other two were alot more shocking. I didn’t expect Ozzy to dramatically die less than two weeks after his big send off, but he was obviously in awful health and hadn’t played a real concert in 6.5 years.
Dio was a clean living rockstar who died of cancer 6 months after he announced his illness and 2 weeks after he canceled a tour. If he hadn’t gotten cancer, or it had been a tumor that they could have successfully removed, he’d probably still be touring now at age 83.
I remember posting about Lemmy’s ill health and how after living on Jack and Coke for decades he was reduced to only drinking wine and cutting down from two packs a day to half a pack, so his decline was known, but he played 54 concerts the year he died, including one 17 days before he died. He lived harder than Ozzy had for his last 35 years, and died at the same age that Ozzy stopped touring.
Ozzy made two solo albums after 13, btw.
