Shot of Love was one of the Dylan albums that I didn’t really get to know until not all that long ago, although I’d heard it before that. It’s minor Dyaln but I like more of it than I dislike/am indifferent to. I’d say it’s his second best album of the ’80s, but that’s probably damning it with faint praise.
I’m disappointed that you don’t like Every Grain of Sand, which I thought was considered a highlight and which was the show closer when I saw him not that long ago. At one of the Dylan shows that I should have gone to but didn’t I know that he played Lenny Bruce!

The other song that I like in the second half, aside from Every Grain, is Dead Man.

After a tour where he only played songs from Slow Train and Saved and one or two other Christian songs that weren’t on albums, he brought the classics for the Shot of Love Tour (or whatever it was called at the time). There’s already a Bootleg Series set, but maybe in a few years we’ll get the the 40 CD box set. It will be alot funnier if the put out the Slow Train/Saved set first.
