The comments that I saw about that weren’t from people who liked th preaching per-se, but it’s historically interesting.
Again, that element was only on the tour where he only played Christian songs, which was about 6 months of his career. He didn’t preach at the Shot of Love-era concerts.

Strangely, the one time he played a heathen-era song on the “All Born Again All the Time” tour, it was Lay Lady Lay.
